What is the tuscan wedding about?

The Tuscan wedding is synonymous with elegance, exclusivity and refined luxury.
The romantic energy of this region, its art and history, delicious food, beautiful scenery, and abundance of venues make Tuscany the ideal place for an elegant and unforgettable destination wedding. So it is no wonder that Italy and Tuscany in particular is one of the most popular destinations.

Florence – Siena also has quite a record – is one of the most chosen cities by couples for their destination wedding.

History has been generous to Florence. This city is the land of rolling hills, vineyards and olive groves; fabulous Renaissance villas, romantic medieval castles, restored farmhouses, gardens with views, beautiful Catholic and Protestant churches, synagogues and Orthodox churches, and historic palaces where civil rites can be celebrated.

Whether your desire inclines toward an intimate and romantic or luxurious wedding, Florence always has something to offer.

Wedding venues in Florence Italy

Wedding venues in Florence are all beautiful. Couples are spoilt for choice.
They share some common features:

    • They are surrounded by beauty, art and architecture
    • They are easily accessible thanks to the presence of two airports, Florence and Pisa
    • They maintain high standards with regard to the services provided

If you have never seen venues in Florence, below I have collected three favorite locations in Florence to inspire you. So You can begin to get an idea of their majesty and beauty.

Fattoria di Maiano

The elegant Fattoria Di Maiano is nestled in the hills between Fiesole and Florence, just 5 km from the center of Florence.

The location has several areas: the main villa, the farmhouse where organic olive oil is produced, the Giardino delle Querce, and the rooms inside the villa.
Among the most beautiful is the Sala Olivaia, which was originally an old olive storehouse. The room has recently been renovated while maintaining the wooden beams and terracotta floor as in the Tuscan tradition and offers a splendid view of the olive grove.

The exterior consists of nearly 300 acres of land.

The farmyard offers a more rural setting for an outdoor celebration full of rustic Tuscan charm.

Castello di Vincigliata

Vincigliata Castle is located a few kilometers from the center of Florence, nestled in the rolling hills of Fiesole.
This location has multiple spaces that can be used for different moments of the ceremony. The wedding ceremony can be held on the lawns, just as the terrace can be used for a cocktail party. From the terrace there is a privileged and breathtaking view of Florence.
The courtyard gardens can accommodate a romantic dinner, with candles and lights creating a magical atmosphere. While the winter garden lends itself well to weddings in the colder months.

The interior is also full of charm and beauty. The castle is furnished with antiques and works of art.

Villa Cora

Villa Cora is the ideal venue for a lavish wedding in the Tuscan capital. It overlooks the Duomo and the Boboli Gardens-the panoramic position makes it truly exceptional.

This Renaissance villa is a real gem. Bright and regal atmosphere, high ceilings, private space for the wedding ceremony, panoramic terrace, incomparable outdoor space.
Villa Cora is surrounded by 900 acres of gardens full of roses and olive groves. The perfect setting for an outdoor Tuscan wedding.

A special venue in Florence for Alex and Laura’s wedding

Florence is full of spectacular venues, many are famous and known to most, while others are yet to be discovered.

When Alex and Laura contacted me for their wedding in Tuscany, they wanted something intimate close to Florence.

After a weekend of visits they decided for a farmhouse not too far from the city. It was a long weekend of good food and wine: the Fattoria made sure to provide them with their best Chianti Classico to celebrate the wedding day!

Even if May is one of the best months to get married, they had three days of rain so everything was done under a terrazza and a marquee provided by the venue. Even if It was raining there was a break when we could enjoy some aperitivo in the garden while Alex and Laura where taking pictures in the vineyards around with the wedding photographer Andrea Corsi.

Laura choose a light blue palette for her bouquet, the arch and the table decoration. The flower decorations in the table where mixed with long stems and tealights candles that gave It all a romantic touch.

The newlyweds decided to start the party in the inner Taverna of the Fattoria so no wet or rain could stop them to dance. It was a day full of laugh and despite the rainy weather, Andrea was able to capture every single moment with authenticity.
