Marry me in Tuscany was honored to be the wedding planner of Matt and Sylwia’s wedding in a lovely villa in the Chianti hills. It took more than one year to plan this family wedding with guests coming from all the 4 sides of the world europe, usa, australia but the day of the ceremony the sun was shining and Siena’ s town hall was as gorgeous as ever.
As we were driving to the town hall the bride was afraid to come too late: I tried to explain her that in Italy normally the bride always comes with a little bit of delay but here it means minimum half an hour ….so she was perfectly on time!
After the ceremony we went back to the Villa were bride and groom had to prepare for the ceremony in the garden: it was supposed to be the most important part of the wedding as all the guests were waitng to see the bride in heir gorgeous white dress
And her bridal gown was really stunning as the details of jewelry and make up
Sylwia’s mum and sister were always around to help her with the stress of having two ceremonies in one day, but at the end, ..here comes the bride!
The ceremony was held in the garden of the villa and family and friends were really touched by the words of the celebrant. After the speeches the newlyweds moved to the gardens to take a couple of pictures and the guests started relaxing with a cocktail in the tuscan garden, the Aia.
The decoration of the table was a kind of vintage with a rustic beige burlap, but the overall effect with vintage tea pots and pink roses was really nice.
There were also some hilarious moments when the bride and groom showed to the guts what was under their shoes… soo funny!
But now it’s time for the last picture and the yummy dinner prepared by the Chef Monika: a mix of tuscan and traditional dishes from Poland especially selected by the bride to make everybody feel like at home. A special moment was the cutting of the cake, made with patience in just 2 days by a famous bakery in Siena: the bride found inspiration on a Pinterest board where she saw a cake telling a love story with comic images on it: we asked to have the same for their cake telling their love story, with images of Paris, Sydney and Tuscany and here you have!
The last picture was taken after the ceremony along the cypress hill…. one of my favorite places in the world. Chianti has a lot of stunning places but in this Villa and on the rolling fields all around you really feel like sky is closer to hearth… and this is what a couple must ask on their wedding day. After 6 months of this wedding I still keep lovely memories of Matt and Sylwya and their friend and family: they are living in Australia and I wish them all the best for their life together!
