  1. Hi Am British and my partner is Italian and are marrying in Italy this September. What paperwork do we need to do before going

  2. Hi there,
My fiancé and I plan on being in Italy for 3 days in September. We are both South African citizens however my fiancé does have british citizenship. We would like to know what we need to do in order to elope and have a legally binding marriage. It will just be the two of us. Looking forward to hearing from you!
    Kind regards,

  3. Hi there

We would like to get married in Ostuni (puglia) do you know of any wedding planners there who could possibly help please?

    Many thanks

  4. Hi there

My fiance and i would love to be married in Tuscany.
But it does scare us a bit with all the legal side of things.
We are looking at being in Italy next June 2016 and so i guess we do have plenty of time.
Our other option would be, to get married here in New Zealand prior to arriving in Italy and then just have a (non legal )
    wedding ceremony.
    Is this at all possible?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Craig & Claire

  5. Hello
I really like your website. It’s help me a lot.
    I just have one question.

Can I ask the Nulla Osta at the Italian Consulad in Germany?

Because I’m Italian but I’m living in Germany now.

My fiancé is Brazilian and we are planing to get married in Italy.

So he need the Nulla Osta from Brazil and I need from Italy.

His docments are all in Portuguese, do the docments need to be translated to Italian?

How would be the cost for a simples civil marriage?

    Thank you so much.

  6. Dear Hewelin is it true Nulla Osta is valid for 6 months from the issue date? There’s no info I can find on the british embassy website!

    1. Hi Holly,
yes, a Nulla OSta is normally valid for 6 months. Are you ritish? Perhaps you don’t find info on the British Embassy’0s website because this is not the righ document for british citizens. Are you going to get married in Tuscany this year or next? Write me an email at and I’ll be able to give you the exact requirements.
      Bye bye
