Another fabulous wedding,

and this time it was one of my best friend’s wedding, sounds like the title of a film, well actually I know it is! Although lots of couples that I have worked for become great friends during the planning process and stay in touch long after the wedding, it was strange for me to be arranging their wedding and although everything has to be perfect for every wedding I organize this had to be more than perfect as they are truly a wonderful couple and we had faced so many obstacles to finally get to the big day. The governments of three countries combined put paid to Clare and Ali getting married in November and so after camping out in various offices I finally got the go ahead to publish the wedding banns for the wedding on the 28th of February, can’t tell you how we whooped for joy over that.

And what a day it was, the weather forecast said storms but thankfully the rain stayed away all day and when Clare arrived in the piazza she looked a million dollars in a beautiful Alfred Angelo dress, Ali looked dashing too in his Armani suit a truly beautiful couple.

The wedding ceremony was conducted by their friend Luca with me acting as interpreter, and there were a few tears of absolute joy when we declared them to be united in matrimony. After the wedding ceremony the happy couple walked up the main “Corso” for photos and on to the Enoteca Italiana for a veritable feast and lots of champagne.

You can find more photos of their happy day on Facebook, Marry Me In Tuscany.
